Last week, a hacker called USDoD advertised U.S. Intelligence Feed Portal on breached forum.
“InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and members of the private sector for the protection of U.S. Critical Infrastructure. InfraGard connects owners and operators within critical infrastructure to the FBI, to provide education, information sharing, networking, and workshops on emerging technologies and threats. InfraGard’s membership includes: business executives, entrepreneurs, lawyers, security personnel, military and government officials, IT professionals, academia and state and local law enforcement—all dedicated to contributing industry-specific insight and advancing national security.” (Src: https://www.infragard.org/)
As can be seen from the article above, InfraGard members are the real critical infrastructure of the FBI. The database contains the names, jobs and contact information of over 80,000 InfraGard users. As the investigators, the data does not contain social security number and/or birth date. The FBI did not explain how the breach happened.
The hacker posted some samples of the data and is selling entire database for $50.000.
