On 1st of February, Check Point announced that acquired Spectral. Spectral is a startup founded in 2020 in Israel and focuses on code safety and trust, fast code scanning and simple and cool developer experience. Can scan code and files in a matter of seconds, and is able to detect errors in hundreds of different systems.
With this acquisition, Check Point extends its cloud capabilities and aims to become a more important player for cloud security.
Check Point declined the comment about the amount of the deal but it is estimated about $60 millions.

This is Check Point´s fifth cloud security acquisition in the last three years, reaffirming our commitment to support the cloud developer´s community and our mission of delivering cloud security automation, usability, and trust across any cloud to every enterprise” said Dr. Dorit Dor, Chief Product Officer at Check Point Software.
